The Fourth World Ninja War, also known as the Seven Kirigakure Swordsmen, is the fifteenth Naruto story arc, which recounts the beginning of the Fourth World Ninja War battles on all fronts. It covers the action of volumes 55 through 59.

What Episode Does the Fourth Shinobi War Start?

The Fourth Shinobi War begins with Episode 256 (516 manga chapter). A general gathering took place, and the shinobi alliance was united.

How Did It All Begin?

Alliance Troops

Uzumaki Naruto, Motoi, Aoba, and Killer Bee return to the village of Hidden Cloud. They are accompanied by Onoki, the third Tsuchikage of the Hidden Cloud village. Onoki carries Turtle Island on his shoulders, along with his loyal bodyguards Kurotsuchi and Akatsuki. The Council of Five Kages creates the united forces of the shinobi alliance by common decision. The alliance troops are divided into several squads, whose commanders have been declared:

  • Darui of Hidden Cloud.
  • Kitsuchi of Hidden Rocks.
  • Kakashi Hatake of Hidden Leaf Village
  • Mifune – Daimyo of the Land of Iron.

At the head of the joint shinobi alliance troops stood the Kazekage of Sand Village – Gaara. Each shinobi of the alliance was given a protector with the same emblem as a sign of the unity of the shinobi of all hidden villages.

At the same time, Kabuto begins an operation to reinforce the white Zetsu army, using the cells of the previously captured Captain Yamato. He was unaware that a joint shinobi reconnaissance unit led by Captain Anko had already discovered more than a hundred thousand white Zetsu clones underground and rushed to report it to alliance headquarters. Unfortunately, Kabuto noticed the presence of the reconnaissance unit and defeated it, and Captain Anko was taken prisoner.

Kabuto uses the forbidden technique of unholy resurrection and summons the previously dead Akatsuki members Itachi Uchiha, Sasori, Deidara, Kakuzu and Nagato, as well as the dead jinchuriki: third Raikage, fourth Kazekage father Gaara, second Tsuchikage, one of the Seven Mist Swordsmen – the legendary Zabuzu, captain Asumu and other strongest previously dead shinobi.

The Fourth Great Shinobi War began. Naruto Uzumaki has to take part in it, as he is destined to decide the outcome of this bloody war and become the greatest shinobi in history.
