Exam Proctors find the dead bodies of three Kusagakure ninja. Anko recognizes this as the work of Orochimaru and rushes into the forest to try to capture him. Meanwhile, Orochimaru, disguised as one of those Kusa ninja, realizes that Naruto has the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox sealed inside him. He seals Naruto’s access to the fox’s chakra, takes the scroll, and throws Naruto aside. Sakura stops him from falling, while Sasuke, inspired by Naruto’s previous successes, launches a counterattack. With the help of the Sharingan, Sasuke manages to defeat Orochimaru. As a reward for his skills, Orochimaru destroys their scroll and brands Sasuke with his cursed seal before disappearing.
