Naruto, angered that Lee only wants to fight Sasuke, tries to prove himself by attacking him. He is quickly defeated. Impressed by Lee’s abilities, Sasuke agrees to fight him. When Sasuke finds himself unable to keep up with Lee’s movements, he suspects it’s some sort of ninjutsu or genjutsu and so activates his Sharingan. Because Lee only uses taijutsu, the Sharingan doesn’t help, as Sasuke lacks the physical training to copy Lee’s attack. Lee prepares to use his Primary Lotus on Sasuke, but is stopped by Ningame.
