Zabuza tries to kill Naruto, but Haku stops his attack with a request to leave it to him. Zabuza agrees. Naruto, intending to help Sasuke, climbs into the ice prison, and ends up, unexpectedly, becoming a hostage to the trap, as does Sasuke. Both attack Haku, but their attempts fail due to Haku’s tremendous speed. Haku urges them to stop trying to escape and surrender because he doesn’t want to kill them, but he will be forced to do so if it will help fulfill his dream, namely to be useful to Zabuza. Concerned about what might happen to Sasuke and Naruto, Kakashi prepares to end Zabuza as soon as possible to help them out.
