To improve Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke’s chakra control and consequently the effectiveness of their techniques, Kakashi trains Team 7 on how to climb trees without the help of his hands. From the beginning of the training Naruto fails completely, Sasuke stumbles halfway through, while Sakura was able to climb to the top on her first attempt. After repeated failures, Naruto asks Sakura for advice. Meanwhile, Zabuza recovers his strength and prepares for a rematch against Kakashi. Gato comes to him with the intention of killing him for failing, but Haku stops him, while breaking his arm as punishment for trying to touch Zabuza with his “dirty” hands. Zabuza assures Gato that he will finish the job within a week.
