Vol.27 Chapter 244 – Side Story Final Story: The Hero of the Sharingan

With his new Sharingan, Kakashi is able to overcome Chidori’s weakness; although the attack is still fast, the Sharingan gives him enough reaction time to avoid counterattacks. He kills Kakko and returns to Obito. When Stone’s reinforcements arrive, Obito asks Kakashi to take Rin and leave, and protect her from harm. When the collapse resumes, Kakashi reluctantly obeys. Obito dies, regretting that he cannot spend more time with his team, and also regretting that he cannot tell Rin that he loves her. Kakashi attacks the newly arrived Stone ninja to fulfill his promise, but soon loses consciousness. He wakes up some time later, and sees that all of his enemies are dead, killed by Minato. With Rin safe, they complete their mission by destroying the Kannabi Bridge.
