Naruto wakes up as Kakashi carries him back to Konoha, they are found by a group of Ninja medics who tell them the fate of the rest of the team. Tsunade works hard, trying to save Chouji from the side effects of the Three Colored Pills. Kiba and Akamaru, though severely injured, are expected to make a full recovery. The Ninja medical team is working hard, trying to regenerate Neji’s wounds. Shikamaru, who received only a dislocated finger, is the most affected by what happened to his team. He considers giving up being a ninja, since he was unable to protect his friends. His father, Shikaku, points out that even if he leaves, his friends will continue to get into dangerous situations, but when they do Shikamaru cannot help them. Tsunade informs them that all team members will be fine, and that Naruto has also been safely restored. However, since Sasuke escaped, the mission has failed. Encouraged that no one died under his command, Shikamaru vows that he will not fail again.
