Sakura gets between Naruto and Sasuke to make them stop, but they are unable to do so. Kakashi catches them and throws them into two opposite water towers. He points out that they went to the roof for a lighthearted fight, and reprimands Sasuke for using Chidori against his friend. Sasuke is indifferent, instead happy to see that his Chidori did more damage to the water tower than Naruto’s rasengan. On closer inspection, however, he discovers that the réngan has done far more damage. He jealously walks away.
Kakashi tells Jiraiya that Naruto is still too young to use the Rasengan, even though he has to defend himself against possible Akatsuki attacks. He also says that Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship is the same as that of Jiraiya and Orochimaru. Naruto wants Sasuke to recognize him as his equal.
Kakashi assures Sakura that he will talk to Sasuke and everything will be the same as before. At this time, the Sound Four are watching Sasuke.
