Vol.20 Chapter 174 – Feelings, Each One…!

Naruto thinks about his lunch with Iruka. Iruka is pleased with Naruto’s development, but informs him that he will now have to start doing real work. After the failed destruction of Konoha, the village operates with a reduced manpower, and the ninja are sent out on more difficult missions and more often. Naruto is eager to start doing his share of the work.

After Team 10 has lunch, Ino tells Shikamaru that Chouji should go on a diet. Shikamaru defends him. Chouji tells Shikamaru that now that he has become a chuunin, his superiority over Sasuke and Neji only becomes more apparent. Shikamaru is indifferent to this, as he only wants to be himself, and he tells Chouji to strive for that as well. Naruto visits Sasuke in the hospital. Since so many people have taken a special interest in Naruto, Sasuke demands to fight each other. Naruto agrees.
