Naruto tries to hit Kabuto with an unfinished rasengan, but Kabuto easily dodges it and injures the boy’s leg. He says that his desire to win and become Hokage is not destined to come true, and Tsunade recalls that she herself had said similar words to Naruto earlier. Naruto doesn’t pay attention to his leg injury and to other people’s words, so he gets up and reminds Tsunade of their deal: if he can master the rasengan in a week, Tsunade will give him the First Hokage’s necklace. He creates a shadow clone, and Kabuto rushes at them. His attacker’s kunai passes through Naruto’s palm, which he uses to catch Kabuto, and with his other hand using the clone he manages to form a perfect rasengan, which he hits Kabuto with.
