Pressing on Tsunade’s sore spot, Orochimaru provoked Shizune. She attacked him with poisoned needles, but Kabuto managed to repel the attack. After ordering Shizune to calm down, Tsunade condescendingly berates Orochimaru for saying inappropriate things. However, the next moment her mood changes dramatically and she crushes the wall behind her with a single blow of her hand, threatening to kill the brat. Tsunade doesn’t want to see Orochimaru in front of her anymore, so she starts counting down the time for him and his assistant to get out of sight. Kabuto keeps coaxing Tsunade, but she doesn’t care. When time runs out, Orochimaru finally lays the cards on the table and offers to resurrect her loved ones – her brother and her lover. Such an offer makes Tsunade think twice.
Meanwhile, Jiraiya and Naruto continue their search. They walk into a gambling establishment, where one of the attendees suggests that the sannin play for information. After betting on an even number, Jiraiya nearly loses 1000 ryo, but Naruto’s suddenly burst ball changed the position of the dice, allowing the mentor to win. In another casino, while Jiraiya is asking people about Tsunade, Naruto finds a coin and drops it into the machine. With just one coin the boy is lucky enough to win enough money to make Gama-chan full again. Unhappy with the lack of progress, Jiraiya decides to climb the hill, as he has a better view from there. There should be a castle just nearby. But when they get closer, it turns out that the castle has disappeared.
Tsunade remembers her loved ones and asks what Orochimaru intends to do when he recovers. Orochimaru honestly tells her that once he is healed, he will finish what he started and wipe Konoha off the face of the earth.
