Naruto looks at the symbol Jiraiya drew on his palm. So far he doesn’t understand why he has a spiral on his hand. Sannin demonstrates the same symbol on his palm and explains that the symbol helps him concentrate. Thinking there is enough wisdom for today, Jiraiya leaves Naruto to “concentrate.”
Meanwhile, Orochimaru, in his lair, is tormented by the pain in his hands that has haunted him since the Third Hokage’s curse. Kabuto advises his master to take medicine, but he refuses, saying it doesn’t help. He asks his spy if he’s found “her,” to which he answers positively.
Naruto continues to concentrate while Jiraiya gathers information about Tsunade. In one of the drinking establishments, Jiraiya’s luck smiles, a man shares that he saw Tsunade and even made money on her. He says that she is now on Tanzaku Street. That’s also where Orochimaru and Kabuto are headed, planning for Tsunade to be able to heal Orochimaru’s hands.
At this point, Tsunade gets three sevens on a slot machine, but she is not happy about her winnings, only alarmed.
