Maito Gai, Naruto and Jiraiya say goodbye. Gai asks the sannin to find Tsunade, to which Naruto very confidently promises to find her. Gaius likes this determination and hands the boy his trademark green training jumpsuit. Jiraiya squeamishly forbids the boy to wear it, considering it “the epitome of bad taste”.
Naruto recalls Itachi’s words and asks Jiraiya why the Akatsuki are after him. He answers that it’s not Naruto they’re after, but the Nine-Tailed One inside him. Not wanting to fall into the clutches of the organization, the boy decides to become stronger. Then the conversation turns to Tsunade. The boy asks the sannin to describe her. He says that Tsunade is harmful, very gambling, and constantly hides her age by changing her appearance, making her hard to find. Naruto is annoyed that this could take a lot of time, but Jiraiya says that they will spend that time to their advantage – he will train the boy along the way.
In the meantime, Tsunade and her assistant and piggy are entering the most expensive gambling house in the settlement. Shizune tries to dissuade her mentor, but she pays no attention. When she appears on the threshold of the casino, the people inside recognize her and begin to smile, anticipating big, and most importantly, easy money. This is due to the fact that Tsunade became famous as a worthless gambler, for which she was nicknamed the “Legendary Loser”.
