The pain Chidori inflicted only heightens Gaara’s interest in the battle. Advancing his transformation further, he attacks Sasuke again, this time even faster than before. Realizing that Chidori is the only way to deal damage to Gaara, Sasuke remembers what Kakashi told him about the technique: its limit is two uses per day, and if he tries to exceed it, he will die. Having already used Chidori twice and knowing that he will still die if he doesn’t try, Sasuke uses a third Chidori, activating the cursed seal to gain the necessary power. The attack succeeds, but Sasuke can no longer move. Gaara quickly comes to his senses and moves to finish Sasuke off, but he is stopped by Naruto.
