The audience erupts in applause, celebrating Naruto’s victory over Neji, and the seasoned ninja are surprised that he was able to control Nine-Tail’s chakra. Naruto rejoices in his victory, while Neji is carried away by the medics. Later, the leader of the Hyuga clan, Hyashi, walks into Neji’s room. He comes to tell his nephew the truth about his father’s death.
When there was a conflict between Cloud and Leaf, the former demanded Hiashi’s body, but the blood of the Hyuga clan is too valuable to the village, so the Hyuga elder along with the Leaf council decided to send the wrong body to Cloud, namely Hiashi’s brother Hisashi. Hiashi disagreed with this, but his brother had already agreed to die. He decided to do it not for the sake of the Hyuga clan or the main branch he hated, but for his brother. He wanted to choose his own fate and he made his choice.
Hiashi relayed his father’s last words to Neji and fell down before the boy, after which he had no doubts about the truthfulness of the leader’s story. Neji casts aside his thoughts about the inevitability of fate, and decides to become stronger so that he won’t lose to anyone else.
