Preparing for life as a ninja, Naruto Uzumaki meets a young Konohamaru as he attempts to assassinate the Third Hokage. When he fails, Konohamaru asks Naruto to train him, hoping that his Seduction Technique will be enough to defeat the Third and become the Hokage. After Konohamaru talks about wanting to become the Hokage, Naruto asks why he would want the title. Konohamaru explains that people only see him as the grandson of the Third and never call him by his first name. He hopes that by becoming Hokage, people will recognize him not only because he is the grandson of the latter.
Realizing that Konohamaru is worried, Naruto agrees to train him. Ebisu, Konohamaru’s mentor, believes that the Nine-Tailed Boy may have a bad influence on the Third’s grandson and tries to stop their training. Konohamaru uses his honed Seduction Technique in an attempt to get rid of Ebisu, but fails to achieve the desired effect. Next, Naruto uses his Harem Technique, which works on Ebisu and thereby proves that he is also a pervert. Seeing that he still has a lot to learn, Konohamaru terminates his relationship with Naruto as teacher and student, adding that they are now rivals, to which Naruto noted that one day they will fight for the Hokage title.
